What Is A Magnetic Gear & How It Works!

A magnetic gear – magnetic coupling device that renders a mechanical ratio between two magnetically-coupled devices and it is composed of magnets of the type permanent, electromagnetic or otherwise magnetically induced fields. The magnetic gear consists of two or more elements that are usually rotating but can be linear or curve linear in nature. Magnetic gear uses permanent magnets to transmit torque between an input and output shaft without mechanical contact and some of the key benefits are increased efficiency, high reliability, low maintenance, no transmission oil, torque fuse protection… Watch the video to find out more about the magnetic gears!
